Baldur's Gate Just when it looked like we were all going to have to wait until Diablo II came out before we could again be swept into a truly AWESOME RPG-Fantasy world like we were granted in Diablo (Blizzard Entertainment). Along came Baldur's Gate. Straight out of the Forgotten Realms gaming world, this game is an awesome spectacle of thrills & accurate AD&D gaming in real time. The best part for those of you who like to take the time to strategically anhialate your opponents is the magic PAUSE button. BG is not exactly the slug fest that Diablo was with a few quests thrown in. It is a truly interactive story set after the Time Of Troubles in the TSR based game world - for those of you not used to this game world it was a time when the gods were punished by having to spend time among the mortals, with several dieing in the process. - but BG is NOT for the impatient though. It's standard difficulty setting plays similarly to the "real" AD&D game, VERY slow to start off in level advancement... STAY TUNED!! The new look magazine Have you seen fantasyscifi.com?
