Manual publishing came about accidently when a staff member asked us why we used a manual... "To save time, so that when someon asks a question, it's a good one..."
We were amazed to find that many businesses fail to use operations manuals near theri staff. These are staff that run your business day to day, they are often the first (& sometimes only) contact with your customers.
Picture this... a customer in the middle of a very long queue. It's your busiest day of the year. They finally get to the service person only to find out that their purchase (an expensive item) doesn't have the price on it. They can't wait... they leave in a huff, you've not only lost a sale but possibly a customer for life! If only that staff member had your knowledge. If only they had known that they couls have looked up the name of the product into the computer to get the price. But then again it was their first month...
